 TNSEDA Hosts Exclusive Solar Awareness & Facilitation Event in Chennai

Tamil Nadu Solar Energy Developers Association (TNSEDA) is organizing an Exclusive Solar Awareness & Facilitation Event to celebrate Tamil Nadu’s remarkable milestone of achieving 50,000+ rooftop solar installations under the PM Surya Ghar (PMSGY) Scheme. The event aims to strengthen public awareness, simplify the solar adoption process, and support faster rooftop solar implementation across the state.

The event will be held on Tuesday, 10th February 2026, from 10:00 AM onwards at Muthamizh Mandram, Adyar, Chennai. It brings together key government officials, solar industry experts, developers, and consumers on a single platform to discuss the future of rooftop solar in Tamil Nadu.

The programme will be inaugurated in the presence of Dr. Aneesh Sekar, I.A.S., Managing Director, Tamil Nadu Green Energy Corporation Limited (TNGECL) as the Chief Guest, and Smt. Thara Ramesh, Regional Manager, REC Limited, as the Guest of Honour. Their participation highlights the government’s continued commitment to accelerating rooftop solar adoption through policy support, financing, and awareness initiatives.

A key highlight of the event is the on-the-spot facilitation of subsidy and soft loan sanctions, helping consumers understand and access government benefits more easily. TNSEDA will also launch its Digital Marketing Initiative, aimed at improving transparency, consumer awareness, and vendor visibility in the solar ecosystem.

The event agenda includes sessions on:

• Overview of the PM Surya Ghar Scheme by the REC team

• Real consumer experience sharing from successful rooftop solar installations

• CAG initiatives supporting the PMSGY scheme

• Vendor Award Ceremony recognizing outstanding solar developers

• Social Media Marketing Poster Launch by MD, TNGECL

• Technical session on completing the process from application to net meter within one day

• Sales training sessions and sponsor presentations

The programme also includes felicitation, networking opportunities, and interactive discussions designed to guide consumers and industry stakeholders through the rooftop solar journey.
