Tamil Nadu has reached a significant milestone in its renewable energy journey by successfully achieving 50,000+ rooftop solar installations under the PM Surya Ghar Yojana (PMSGY). To mark this milestone and further strengthen public awareness, the Tamil Nadu Solar Energy Developers Association (TNSEDA) is organizing a Solar Awareness & Facilitation Event in Chennai. The event aims to educate homeowners, apartment associations, and businesses on the benefits of rooftop solar and the opportunities available through government support.

In addition to subsidies, homeowners can also access bank loans at around 6% interest, making it possible to install solar systems with minimal upfront investment. In many cases, the monthly EMI can be comparable to the existing EB bill, helping households recover their investment within 4–5 years.
